Betong Bankers win inaugural Super Series

SARIKEI: Betong Bankers of won the RM1,000 first prize award and trophy after defeating OFC 1-0 during the final of the Super Series Futsal Championship played at the local Ministry of Social Development & Urbanisation (KPSU) hall, here, yesterday.For their effort, OFC received RM500 reward from Sarikei District Officer Abang Mohd Porkan Abang Budiman during the closing cum prize presentation.A total of 32 teams comprising both local and outstation took part in the four-day tournament, organised by Sarikei Division Football Association starting Jan 24.Meanwhile, Abang Mohd Porkan congratulated the organisers for successfully hosting the first series of the futsal programme, adding that such approach was appropriate in order to lure more youngsters into games that promotes good health and mindset.
